will be surprised at the quality and extent of
our sandy beaches. They are many and varied ...to
suit every activity ... from the energetic surfers

 |
| Visit us here in the heart
of Cornwall, an ideal place to base yourself to
explore the region. There are many attractions
nearby which will enthral you. From the multi-million
pound Eden Project (free weekend transport)
to the quaint havens which dot the coastline.
Charlestown is a working harbour where often replica
square sail ships can be inspected. |
 |
| The area is steeped in history,
smuggling was a major income for some of the locals
in the bygone age. There were also the wreckers
who lured unwary captains onto the rocks. Tin
mining played a big part in the local economy,
many of the engine houses still dot the landscape. |
 |
| Nowadays the leisure trade
is vital to Cornwall and many businesses have
sprung up to cater for the annual influx of visitors.
So even if the weather does not entice you to
the beach there are always plenty of other attractions
to keep the family occupied. We now have bikes
for hire at £5.00 per day. We look forward
to seeing you and hope you enjoy the great holiday
atmosphere of Cornwall. We include free pick-up
from St. Austell main line station at weekends. |
